Easy Blanket Dumplings Recipe with Wonton Wrappers

Blanket dumplings are the viral TikTok dinner made with juicy pork, wonton wrappers, and a quick chili crisp dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Dumpling Filling:

  • 16 ounces Ground pork
  • 3 Green onions finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic finely minced
  • 2 teaspoons Grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Chili crisp
  • 2 teaspoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Dumplings:

  • 18 sheets Wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Water

Dumpling Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic finely minced
  • 1 Green onion Finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Chili crisp

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients for the dumpling filling to a large bowl and mix well.
  • Form the mixture into 1 inch balls.
  • Add the olive oil to a large skillet (12-inches is best) and heat over medium-high heat.
  • Place the pork balls in the skillet spacing them approximately 2 inches apart. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Cover each pork ball with a wonton wrapper, gently pressing them down and around the meatball so it is covered.
  • Add the water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Continue to cook for approximately 5 minutes or until pork is cooked through (internal temperature when checked with a thermometer is 160 degrees F).
  • While the dumplings cook mix all of your dumpling sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
  • Remove from pan and serve with dumpling sauce and extra chili crisp.
